Potato Distribution by Fondation Coup de Coeur to Moisson-Rive-Sud – May and June 2026

This marks the final distribution of potatoes from the 2025 harvest. It is truly impressive to see how well this highly nutritious vegetable can be preserved for so many months in cold storage. This excellent shelf life makes potatoes an exceptional and valuable food source for the thousands of food banks across Quebec.

Since FCC had already delivered more than 3.7 million pounds of vegetables between June 2024 and April 30, 2026, adding the 102,500 pounds of potatoes delivered in May and June 2026 brings the total to more than **3,802,525 pounds of vegetables**, approximately **90% of which were potatoes**, distributed over the past two years.

For the new 2026–2027 year, FCC will once again offer, free of charge, full truckloads of potatoes to organizations that are willing and able to receive them. Each truckload will contain **60,000 pounds of potatoes in bulk**, packed in large **2,500-pound Totes**, placed on standard pallets (24 pallets of 2,500 pounds each), for a total of 60,000 pounds per shipment.

The receiving organization must first store the potatoes in cold storage and then distribute them free of charge to hundreds of food banks.
