Dear Jean and Fatima,
I hope this message finds you well.
This morning, as I looked back over the many water projects we have implemented together in Ghana over the past twelve years, I couldn’t help but feel truly impressed.
Considering that we have no staff and only very limited financial means, reaching over one million beneficiaries with our water projects feels almost miraculous.
I want to sincerely congratulate you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for playing such an essential role in all our water projects in Ghana. Your unwavering support continues to make a real difference.
In this spirit, I would like to once again ask for your support in fundraising for a new initiative we are launching this month under Rotary Global Grant Project # GG24-60049.
This project will be led by the Rotary Club of Oakland 3 (California), in collaboration with the host clubs of Obuasi and Kumasi, in Ghana. It includes: drilling 36 fresh water wells, building 376 microflush composting toilets and granting 134 microloans that will help double the infrastructure in a second phase, and triple it in a third, multiplying the impact over time.
With a total cost of $273,000, this project will benefit over 38,000 beneficiaries. I sincerely hope we can count on your continued support in the fundraising campaign. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
With deep appreciation,
Walter Hughes
