The request:

Good day Mr. Gagnon and Fatima,

In February 2020, you shared good news with us: Mr. Marcel Baril had made a generous donation of $ 50,000 to the Coup de Cœur Foundation to help build the BVIC (Bala Vikasa International Center). the new SOPAR Training Center in India.
It was with great joy that we received this news! In fact, we have been working hard for more than four years now to implement this new center, which aims to unite the social and entrepreneurial communities with the same goal, namely to improve working conditions life of poor communities in India. Mr. Baril's donation gave us a huge helping hand!
BVIC focuses its work on three main axes. First, we offer seminars and workshops to a diverse audience to promote the idea of social entrepreneurship as an important part of sustainable development. With its incubation program for social start-ups that are in the early stages, BVIC also offers capacity building, mentoring,
field experience as well as funding for social entrepreneurs. Finally, we promote responsible business through training and advice for industry professionals.
The BVIC has 2 main buildings: the main building and the residential complex.
Mr. Marcel Baril's donation of $ 50,000 was allocated to the construction of two luxury rooms within the residential complex, rooms which will accommodate participants who have come to attend training and conferences organized by BVIC. Trained, these people will become agents of change in their businesses and in poor communities in India and help break the cycle of poverty forever.

On behalf of the entire SOPAR team here in Canada and Bala Vikasa in India, I warmly thank Mr. Baril and your Foundation for your solidarity and your generosity with the most disadvantaged.
