Dear Mr Gagnon and Mrs Lahmami,

I am witnessing your dedication to ensuring that the most disadvantaged people have access to safe drinking water for several years. Your generosity and solidarity affect us very much.
It is with hope that I am submitting today a new application, this time for three communities with which we are working in the state of Telangana in India.
The village of Gandharapalli seeks to install a water purification system that is accessible to all its citizens, even the poorest. Groundwater that passes through the village contains 1.5 times more fluoride than the maximum permitted limit.
Several people in the village are suffering from dental fluorosis and have joint pain, gastrointestinal problems and pregnancy. Mr. Nagaraju is the chairman of the village youth committee. He says, "People here deserve to have the chance to improve their lives''.
Our committee is ready to work hard to help them. With purified water, we will all be healthier and able to work. ". Nandanam villagers are part of the most disadvantaged caste of Indian society and live under very precarious conditions. Mr. Y. Yadagiri, a municipal councilor, made a request for a well construction because: "our council wants to make changes in the village and we believe that this change must begin with access to water". Mr. A. Bhasker is the chief of the village of Ontimamidipalli, he talked to our team about the challenges that the people of his village are facing: "most people here are farmers and are poor. Women would like to work to improve the financial situation of their families but they are limited because they have to walk a long time each day to get water. If we have easy access to water, our lives will be changed and we will have new opportunities. "

We thank you for your attention to our request and are available to answer your questions.

Sincerely,

Shobha Singareddy

Director
