Subject: Letter to the FCC for the construction of a water well at the Batcho Church.

Dear Fondation Coup de Coeur ,

I come to your high kindness to solicit a grant for the construction of a water well on the territory of the church of Batcho, located in the western region of Cameroon. Indeed, parish ground is a public place that groups several times a week, most of the young people and children of the village for parochial activities. Many of them live near the parish.
Unfortunately, we are faced with the difficulty of supplying drinking water and we do not have the financial capacity to build a water well. Some are obliged to go to the river to get unhealthy water (see photo). A good source of water at the parish would solve this difficulty while allowing the many faithful who participate in our activities to obtain water more easily; Our residents would also benefit. Even more, this project would enable both to prevent diseases such as typhoid and dysentery due to the consumption of dirty water.
If we had a favorable response to this project, with the help of the parish and the priest in charge, we would establish a maintenance team to maintain the water point. This team would find the spare parts available in the neighboring cities. A stewardship committee that we create will also ensure the management of the sustainable operation of this well so that this work lasts independently in time.
In anticipation of an adequate response to the water needs of the inhabitants of this part of Cameroon, I would like to convey my sincere greetings and congratulations on the works you have already done to the most needy.
