Sir,

My name is Marlène Hogue, director of the Marc-Aurèle-Fortin school, of the Pointe-de-L'Île school board in Montreal. I am the principal of a primary school with 650 pupils from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Since our deprivation index is 8 according to the Ministry of Education, our students are at high risk of academic difficulty and dropping out.
We are aware that Fondation Coup de Coeur  is undertaking, under the direction of Dr Claude Chagnon Optometrist, a screening program for eye diseases. As we know very well that many of our students do not such screening, as recommended annually for children, we would be interested in being part of the schools that will have the chance to participate in this program.
