Hello Fatima and Jean,

It has been around 10 weeks since we met in Managua at the Rotary Project Fair in Central America. It was a great pleasure to meet you both, especially since speaking French in Managua is not very common.
We would like to go ahead with the project I spoke to you about at your booth at the fair. The main goal of the project is to establish access to water for schools in the municipality of San Juan Del Sur, in the Rivas province of Nicaragua.
The complete project includes work in 44 schools in the municipality for a total population of about 18,500 inhabitants including 3,500 students.
To ensure this project can be realized, we have done a highly detailed study and established a budget for each school. The actual budget for 36 of the 44 schools is estimated at US $260,000.00.
The first (3) schools selected for this project are:
BERNARDINO budget US$10,400.00
PAPATURO budget US$11,200.00
LAS PAMPAS budget US$11,400.00
Attached you will find a Google map with each school’s location.
We are also in direct contact with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Education to ensure the local population is committed to helping the Rotary Club of San Juan Del Sur ensure the sustainability of the facilities.
The Rotary Club of San Juan Del Sur will arrange meetings in each community to educate parents of the students on how to go about supporting the maintenance and care of the installed equipment.
In the (3) schools mentioned above, a well with a hand pump will be installed along with the construction of a water tower and storage tank and the necessary plumbing to be able to have functional sinks in every classroom.
We are here to provide any additional information that you might need.
In the meantime, please accept our best wishes and our deepest gratitude.
