The request:

From: Janice Aubry, program manager, SOPAR
To: Fondation Louise Grenier

Good day Doctor Grenier,

It is with joy that we learned last November that your Fondation Louise Grenier was giving us a grant of $ 10,000 to help install two water purification systems in two disadvantaged villages in India. They are the villages of Chittapur and Gourayapalli in the state of Telangana.
I am writing to you today to present the final report of this project which you will find in the attached document).
As you will see, your donation has resulted in an investment that will have an inestimable impact; more than 4,115 people in difficulty now have easy and affordable access to purified water. These two projects will greatly improve the hygiene and health of the beneficiaries and will greatly help them become self-reliant.
Nirmala is one of the beneficiaries of your project in the village of Gourayapalli. A young, uneducated and poor mother, she has been actively involved in ensuring that her village has access to safe drinking water that does not make people in her community and her family ill. Indeed, the continuous consumption of water containing too much fluorine, as is the case in his village, causes serious health problems, especially fluorosis, a disease that causes tooth decay, bone deformity, pain in joints, gastric problems and problems related to pregnancy.
Here is Nirmala's testimony:
"With this project, my children will be healthier and will be able to attend school regularly. I did not have the chance to go to school myself, so I wanted to make sure they would not have the same problems that I encountered ... The implementation of this system of water purification is a real blessing for our village! Many thanks on behalf of the people of my community to the Louise Grenier Foundation for their generosity and to SOPAR Canada for their valuable and important collaboration in this project."
On my behalf and on SOPAR-Gatineau's behalf, I sincerely thank you for your financial support, which will change the lives of thousands of farmers for decades!
