Dear Jean and Fatima

Our mutual friend Ligia Corredor gave me you contact information because of a Water  Project I'm in the process of submitting a Global Grant for to The Rotary Foundation.

This project will bring to the Wayuu (native population) of La Guajira, in Colombia, a machine that extracts water from the atmosphere, at the rate of 300 Liters/day. This should accommodate more than 450 people.

The potential of this water extraction system is huge, because it can be easily replicated, and it does not require a large investment in infrastructure (underground pipes, sewage system, etc.), and the maintenance is very simple (filters replacement once a year, and some basic remote monitoring). It is powered by solar cells, which are responsible for a great portion of the total cost of this system.

From my conversations with Ligia, I understand that your Rotary Club of Montreal, Fondation Louise Grenier and Fondation Coup de Coeur are mostly committed to Water Projects, and you have resources to help other water initiatives.
